Simple Vape Co. are a British brand and are very proud of this fact. All design, manufacturing and packaging is done in the UK. Their aim is to simplify a, what can be, a very crowded and confusing marketplace.
“Honeycomb Cream” is a juice from their VG range. Their original juices had a VG/PG ratio of 50/50 but this range is an 80/20 mix.
It is available in 0,3,6 and 12mg nicotine. For this review, I am using 3mg.
The description for Honeycomb Cream is ‘Inspired by the best ice cream in the country – honeycomb crunch from our home county of Cumbria. A creamy texture followed by the sweet, comforting flavour of sweet honey that hits the spot every time.’
My setup is as follows:
- Dotmod Petri (double airflow cloud cap)
- Dual flat twisted – 9 wraps – Coming out at 0.30 ohms
- Wicked with Rayon
- Snow wolf 200w – Set to 100w
This juice comes in a 15ml plastic unicorn bottle. The label is simple, as you would probably expect from this company. It is all black with white writing. The fact that it is part of the VG collection is very clear but the rest of the writing is very small. I can see what they are trying to achieve with this but I think it would benefit from being very slightly bigger and therefore easier to read. The essential information is listed down the side including the nicotine strength, the VG/PG ratio, a batch number and an expiry date.
I personally found the smell of this e-liquid a little unpleasant. You can tell it’s honey but is super concentrated and a far cry from real honey’s subtle scent.
Inhale – “Honeycomb Cream” is very pleasant on the inhale. There is an obvious creaminess to it along with the sweetness of honey, which at this point doesn’t taste as strong as it smelt initially.
Exhale – This is very similar to the inhale but the honey is strong, perhaps too strong, here and more like what you would expect from the smell. The creaminess is still present and lasts much longer than the honey taste, which is a relief as the taste would otherwise be too strong to tolerate as an aftertaste.
In conclusion – All in all, I would say this is a juice worth trying. It’s a bit like marmite, you will either like it or you won’t. You can taste that it is a quality e-juice and the vapour production is impressive. This one just isn’t for me. I could vape it occasionally but that would be as far as I would go.
