“Emperors Custard” by Rising Sun

Having grown tired of tasteless and expensive juice. The Emperor decided to create his own unique juice line to keep the growing number of warriors content within the RISING SUN.

Rising sun have been kind enough to send a few of their liquids for review.

Their juices are available in 0,3 and 6mg nicotine and has a VG/PG ratio of 70/30.

I really like the description for “Emperors Custard” – One of the Emperor’s favourite pastimes is strolling in the gardens of his ancestors, with his silken kimono dancing in the breeze, next to where the blueberries grow wild. Yearning for the taste of a custard, his royal chefs combined a creamy, rich vanilla custard with blueberries picked from the Emperor’s personal garden! Thus making a royal favourite!

My set-up is as follows:

  • Dotmod Petri (double airflow cloud cap)
  • Dual flat twisted – 3mm – 9 wraps – Coming out at 0.30 ohms
  • Wicked with Rayon
  • Snow wolf 200w – Set to 125w

This juice comes in a 15ml plastic bottle. It is also available in 30ml. The labelling is interesting and informative although the handwritten details do make it seem a little unprofessional. The nicotine content and the VG/PG ratio are clearly written along with an expiration date.

There isn’t much smell from “Emperors Custard”, There is a slight chemical scent.

Inhale – Not detecting a huge amount of flavour on the inhale. I can pick up some creaminess and a slight sharpness.

Exhale – The full creaminess unfolds at this point. It is sweet and gives a feeling of warmth. Towards the end of the exhale, the sharper taste of blueberries begins to cut through. The aftertaste is creamy and sort of sticky.

In conclusion – This is a good custard e-liquid. The taste is pleasant and the vapour production is impressive. The downside is that you could be vaping on almost any custard e-liquid. It doesn’t really have any qualities that make it stand in the very crowded custard category. I wouldn’t advise anyone against this juice but it isn’t one I’m likely to rave about either.

“Honey Bunz” by Coil Glaze

The folks at Vivd Vapes were kind enough to send out this bottle of “Honey Bunz” for the purpose of review, if you’re interested in the products reviewed below please be sure to head over to their website:

http://www.vivdvapes.co.uk/

Also, be sure to use the code “vivd8” for 8% off across their site!

Thanks to the folks at Vivd Vapes, we have a sample bottle of “Honey Bunz” to review for you guys. The blenders describe this juice as “A delectable pastry, infused with cinnamon sugar, topped with a honey glaze icing”

For this review, we will be using the following hardware:

Lid Up – Taking a few sniffs from the bottle before we get this on the RDA, there is definitely a custard lurking around this juice mixed with a nice sweet honey.

The Inhale – On the inhale “Honey Bunz” is more focused on the pastry notes mixed with cinnamon-like undertones. The honey and custard aren’t present here, let’s hope the exhale can shed some light on this.

The Exhale – The description is now complete. As promised, the honey has revealed itself on the exhale. Blending exquisitely with the cinnamon and pastry notes and the light touches of custard thrown in to make an all-round very enjoyable vape. If you can imagine a freshly baked cinnamon roll but instead of the icing sugar, the bun is dripping with honey, you get “Honey Bunz” by Coil Glaze.

Would I buy this juice?

A 60ml bottle with a nice and thick ratio of 80/20 VG high for £20, well it would be rude not to! Personally, I would recommend vaping this either with the airflow closed off slightly or as I have done for this review, grabbed my current go-to flavour chasing RDA the Petri V2. Yes, it has the ratio for you cloud chasers out there but you will want to stop and appreciate the complex blend of flavours here as well.

“Chocolate” by by MF’N Donut

The folks at Vivd Vapes were kind enough to send out the line of M F’N Donut for the purpose of review, if you’re interested in the products reviewed below please be sure to head over to their website:

http://www.vivdvapes.co.uk/

This is the fourth in a series of reviews for the MF’N range. My last review for this range was “Strawberry”. Generally, when I review a juice, I’ll vape it for a day or so before writing my review so I’m sure that I know the juice well and have picked up as many of the subtleties as I can. After the review the juice gets added into my ever-growing collection and is vaped occasionally.

Strawberry” was different though. I’ve been using it almost exclusively since I completed the review. I am heartbroken to report that the bottle is almost empty now. It was a fantastic introduction to this range and has set the bar incredibly high for the rest of them!

I’ve decided to do “Chocolate” next because I realized that I probably should have started with it as it’s the original flavour from their line. However there is no point dwelling on that, so let’s get on with the important stuff.

Here are the essential facts and figures.

The MF’n Donut range is available in 0,3 and 6mg nicotine and has a VG/PG ratio of 80/20. I am using 3mg juice for this review.

The manufacturers description is “A full flavored rich fresh baked donut with a thick and delectable milk chocolate frosting that is sure to curb any sweet tooth

My set up for this review is:

• Dotted Petri V2 with cloud cap
• Dual 7 wrap 3mm flat twisted wire by “Demon Killer” 0.26 ohm
• Wicked with Rayon
• Snow wolf 200w – Set to 149w

MF’N “Chocolate” comes in a 30ml glass dropper bottle. The nicotine level is clearly displayed and the VG/PG ratio can be found in the small print.

Opening the bottle releases a smell that it is instantly recognisable if you have tried any other donut juices. It is partnered with something that smells almost savoury and quite heavy.

Inhale – I find that most juices tend to have a fairly subtle flavour on the inhale. This one however, unleashed a full power, delicious, donut flavour at this point. It is backed up by an unidentifiable sweetness.

Exhale – The chocolate takes centre stage here and much to my delight, it isn’t the typical artificial chocolate taste we have come to know and tolerate in e-liquids. It is creamy, sweet and moreish. The donut taste is still present at this point but it is much more subtle than it was initially. The aftertaste is creamy with a hint of chocolate.

In conclusion – MF’N “Chocolate” is a great e-liquid. It is exactly as described. What the description can’t tell you, is just how well the flavours in this have been blended to produce something that is truly a delight to vape. The vapour production is very impressive. Both the cloud-chasers and flavour-chasers among us should enjoy this juice.

“Milk Man” by One Hit Wonder

Before we get started on the review, I would just like to send a huge thank you to the folks at Republic of Vape for supplying this product for the purpose of this review! The store has a massive line of juices as well as hardware which is available instore or via their website:

republicofvape-header-logo-190

Now, onto the juice at hand. This is a line that I’ve had my eye on for quite some time now and today we will be reviewing “Milk Man” by One Hit Wonder, the blenders describe this product as:

A delectable blend of strawberry fruit and cream. The Milk Man E-Liquid has notes of uniquely refreshing milk cream on the Inhale followed by subtly sweet undertones of fresh strawberries that builds over the course of each vape

“Milk Man” has a 70/30 VG high ratio and is available from Republic of Vape in a 20ml (UK made version) and the massive 180ml (US made) which also includes 2 empty 15ml plastic unicorn bottles. Available in 3 + 6mg Nic

For this review, we used the following hardware:

One Hit Wonder Milk Man

The two 15ml unicorn bottles included with this juice is a fantastic idea. Simply fill up from the massive 180ml and you’re ready to head out or if you’re dripping all day you can just carry the big bottle.

Lid up – A sweet, creamy strawberry which is very akin to a strawberry milkshake. Smells good enough to drink!

Time to get this on the RDA for a proper test, if the initial sniff is anything to go by, this will be an exceptional vape. As mentioned before “Milk Man” has a 70/30 VG high base so you can run this juice through most modern subohm tanks but for review purposes we’re trying this on an RDA.

Inhale – The creaminess promised by the lid up is there with subtle notes of the strawberry. Being 3mg, the throat hit is minimal.

Exhale – Cloudy milkshake goodness! This is definitely an all day vape for me, “Milk Man” is one of if not the most accurate strawberry milkshake-like vape I’ve tried so far and the top shelf like presentation seals the deal. Strawberry flavours that we’ve sampled in the past can sometimes present a chemical/artificial like aftertaste but thankfully this is not the case here!

Sweet and creamy, the way a milkshake should be. Now, would I buy this product? €66 from Republic of Vape for the 180ml and €15 for the UK made 20ml, yes I will be buying more of this in the near future!

Big thank you again to the guys at Republic of Vape for giving us the opportunity to try out this product.

“Honeycomb Cream” by Simple Vape Co.

Simple Vape Co. are a British brand and are very proud of this fact. All design, manufacturing and packaging is done in the UK. Their aim is to simplify a, what can be, a very crowded and confusing marketplace.

“Honeycomb Cream” is a juice from their VG range.  Their original juices had a VG/PG ratio of 50/50 but this range is an 80/20 mix.

It is available in 0,3,6 and 12mg nicotine. For this review, I am using 3mg.

The description for Honeycomb Cream is ‘Inspired by the best ice cream in the country – honeycomb crunch from our home county of Cumbria. A creamy texture followed by the sweet, comforting flavour of sweet honey that hits the spot every time.’

My setup is as follows:

  • Dotmod Petri (double airflow cloud cap)
  • Dual flat twisted – 9 wraps – Coming out at 0.30 ohms
  • Wicked with Rayon
  • Snow wolf 200w – Set to 100w

This juice comes in a 15ml plastic unicorn bottle. The label is simple, as you would probably expect from this company. It is all black with white writing. The fact that it is part of the VG collection is very clear but the rest of the writing is very small. I can see what they are trying to achieve with this but I think it would benefit from being very slightly bigger and therefore easier to read. The essential information is listed down the side including the nicotine strength, the VG/PG ratio, a batch number and an expiry date.

I personally found the smell of this e-liquid a little unpleasant. You can tell it’s honey but is super concentrated and a far cry from real honey’s subtle scent.

Inhale –  “Honeycomb Cream” is very pleasant on the inhale. There is an obvious creaminess to it along with the sweetness of honey, which at this point doesn’t taste as strong as it smelt initially.

Exhale – This is very similar to the inhale but the honey is strong, perhaps too strong, here and more like what you would expect from the smell. The creaminess is still present and lasts much longer than the honey taste, which is a relief as the taste would otherwise be too strong to tolerate as an aftertaste.

In conclusion –  All in all, I would say this is a juice worth trying. It’s a bit like marmite, you will either like it or you won’t. You can taste that it is a quality e-juice and the vapour production is impressive. This one just isn’t for me. I could vape it occasionally but that would be as far as I would go.

“Mambo” by El Diablo

I have received three flavours from El Diablo to review. I’ve chosen to do “Mambo” first because on trying the three, this is the one I was most looking forward to vaping again.

The maker of El Diablo juices was initially interested and passionate about cooking. They have now used that same passion in the creation of their juice line.

For this review, I am using the max VG version of “Mambo” which is only available in 3mg.

A 50/50 version is available in 3mg, 6mg, 12mg & 18mg.

The description of this juice is really interesting and inviting  – “Mambo is the Voodoo High Priestess. During the Day of the Dead celebrations, living relatives prepare bread and puddings as offerings to loved ones who have passed. The recipe is inspired by the Mexican flan that is a favourite offering.

Ripe bananas drizzled with sweet cream and warm caramel lie atop a beautifully light and fluffy sponge base

Now you have a bit of background to this brand, let’s get on with the vaping. My set up for this review is – Tugboat V2

My set up for this review is:

  • Tugboat V2
  • Dual quad twisted 26g kanthal – 5 wraps –  0.13Ω
  • Wicked with Rayon
  • Snow wolf 200w – Set to 149w

El Diablo juices are available in 10ml, 30ml and 100ml. The label is attractive and informative. There is a strong brand image with the Mexican “Day of the Dead” skull appearing on each bottle in a different colour corresponding to the juice inside.

The nicotine level and the date of bottling is included although it is handwritten, not sure if this is just the case with our samples but either way it’s written very neatly. The bottle states that this is high VG version but I’m not sure what the VG\PG ratio is exactly.

While smelling this e-liquid you will immediately notice the banana in it, it isn’t as harsh as some banana liquids can be. You can pick up the subtle tones of creaminess that mellows it out.

Inhale – This is quite bland for this juice. You can detect a warmth and creaminess but no real flavour at this point.

Exhale – The banana is immediately apparent here but after the initial hit the caramel/toffee unfold to join the banana. The aftertaste is a milky creamy banana. It is reminiscent of a really good banoffee pie minus the biscuit.

In conclusion –  “Mambo” is a great juice., it delivers what it promises. The vapour production is impressive, as a cloud chaser I always love to see the thick type of clouds that you can’t see through. This juice provides that and the great flavour is a huge bonus.

If the description of “Mambo” by El Diablo Juices appeals to you, you should order some. You won’t be disappointed.

“Strawberry” by MF’n Donut

The folks at Vivd Vapes were kind enough to send out the line of M F’N Donut for the purpose of review, if you’re interested in the products reviewed below please be sure to head over to their website:

http://www.vivdvapes.co.uk/

Also, be sure to use the code “vivd8” for 8% off across their site!

This is the third in a series of reviews for the MF’n range. I have chosen to do “Strawberry” first because I’m a big fan of strawberry juices. Sometimes when you look at the e-liquid market as a whole, strawberry would appear to be overused. However, sometimes you come across a juice that highlights why this flavour is so popular. This is one of those occasions.

Here are the essential facts and figures.

The MF’n Donut range is available in 0,3 and 6mg nicotine and has a VG/PG ratio of 85/15. I am using 3mg juice for this review.

The manufacturers describe “Strawberries as “Rich and thick strawberry jam filled donut. With just the right hint of sweetness, this one will keep you coming back for more

My set up for this review is:

  • Royal Hunter
  • Dual 12 wrap 3mm 24g Nichrome. (Bob wire by Vapergate, great stuff!) 0.41Ω
  • Wicked with Rayon
  • Snow wolf 200w – Set to 149w

I had really high exceptions for this e-liquid. I love donut juices and strawberry juices and now, here it is, teamed up, in a bottle, awaiting my judgement.“Strawberry” comes in a 30ml glass dropper bottle. The nicotine level is clearly displayed and the VG/PG ratio can be found in the small print.

“Strawberry” comes in a 30ml glass dropper bottle. The nicotine level is clearly displayed and the VG/PG ratio can be found in the small print.

The label is very wordy in my opinion. If you were buying this online it would cause no issue but in a shop, this label would do nothing to attract your attention. If it was set at any distance from you, the redness of the label would be all you could make out. Maybe, if you have good eyesight, you could see the brand name. This is a premium e-liquid and the packaging does not do it justice. But we all know that you should never judge a book by it’s cover!

*Since writing this, I have heard that the labels have been changed since we received this sample. Good on them for reaching the same conclusions as me*

Opening the bottle releases a smell that it is instantly recognisable if you have tried any other donut juices. There is an underlying sweetness as well that makes this juice smell really inviting.

Inhale –  This gives a warm pastry like taste. Some notes of creaminess can also be detected. Overall at this point it tastes almost savoury.

Exhale – This is my favourite part of this e-liquid. You can almost feel the juicy strawberries in your mouth. The donut taste is still present but it takes a backseat to the sweet, gooey strawberry jam. It leaves a delicious layer of sweetness on your tongue that will entice you to partake in some more “Strawberry” by MF’n Donut.

In conclusion –  I would recommend this juice to anyone who likes donut e-liquid. It is one of the best I have tried. I also think it would appeal to strawberry fans (Unicorn milk, milkman and mother milk etc.) because the strawberry aspect has been balanced so well against the donut flavour.

With 80% VG it produces a beautiful, dense and satisfying vape.Unless you dislike donut and/or strawberry e-liquids, this one is definitely worth a try. It delivers what is promised on the bottle and a little more.

“Lime Bake” by Nom Nomz

Following on from my review of “Lemony Snicket”, this is my second review of juices from the Nom Nomz range. When I was trying all their flavours at the launch event, this is the one that really stuck with me. I’ve always been a fan of Elements dripper series “Key Lime Cookie” but once I moved on the using RDA’s, I discovered that it seemed to eat my wick and that the flavour was almost impossible to get rid off without rewicking. Since then there has been a lime shaped space in my e-liquid collection…… Not anymore!

Nom Nomz juices are available in 3 and 6mg nicotine. The VG/PG ratio of “Lime Bake “is 75/25.

The manufacturer’s description of this juice is – “Fresh baked cookies straight from the oven with a lime cream centre and a hint of coconut…nom nom
My set up is as follows:

  • Royal Hunter
  • Dual fused clapton – 9 wraps – Coming out at 0.62Ω
  • Wicked with Rayon
  • Noisy Cricket

This juice comes in a 30ml dropper bottle. It is also available in 100ml plastic bottles. I really love the colour scheme and the label design of this brand. It is minimalist but still interesting and eye catching. I personally find the 30ml bottle quite difficult to squeeze (I haven’t tried the 100ml so I can’t comment) I think the plastic is very slightly too thick for my liking. It does help to avoid over dripping in an RDA but I imagine it would be annoying when filling a tank.

“Lime Bake” smells exactly like it tastes, each of the three flavours mentioned are there from the moment you break you seal. But we aren’t in the wine sniffing business, let’s get on with the vaping.

Inhale – The lime is the dominant flavour at this stage but you do get the sense that something else entirely is about to unfold.

Exhale -The best way I can describe this juice is, like a “Nice” biscuit, the coconut, biscuity taste is just beautiful. It is joined by and entirely complimented by a shot of lime juice. I’m not sure I have ever tasted an e-liquid that has done such a good job with combining three flavours and getting the very best out of each of them. After vaping on it the lime wears off and the after taste would easily convince you that you have just had a “Nice” biscuit.

In conclusion – This is an amazing e-liquid. It is slightly different than what you would expect from the name but it gives much more than you would expect. It is like a beautiful cocktail and I could quite easy while away a sunny day with only this to vape on. If you like sweet vapes, lime, coconut and the delicious warmth of baked good, then this is the juice for you. “Lime Bake” produces a lovely dense, sweet smelling cloud which will entice you to vape on this again and again. It is very flavourful but it isn’t overpowering or sickening. It beats “Key Lime Cookie” hands down.

“Lemony Snicket” by Nom Nomz

I had read a few reviews on here for Nom Nomz and they sounded amazing. It’s also really good to see a company like this emerge from our very own Northern Ireland. So when I had the chance to go to a Nom Nomz launch event, I was very eager. I got to sample their whole range and quite honestly, not one of their juices was disappointing. I came away with 5 bottles (which are not far off empty after just 5 days!) and I’m going to review two of them including this one, “Lemony Snicket”.

Nom Nomz juices are available in 3 and 6mg nicotine. The VG/PG ratio is 80/20.

The manufacturer’s description of this juice is – “A zingy lemon sponge cake with a middle layer of thick cream, finished off with a lemon frosting drizzle…nom nom

My set up is as follows:

  • Royal Hunter RDA
  • Dual fused clapton – 9 wraps – Coming out at 0.62Ω
  • Wicked with Rayon
  • Noisy Cricket

This juice comes in a 30ml dropper bottle. It is also available in 100ml plastic bottles. I really love the colour scheme and the labeling of this brand. It is minimalism but still interesting and eye catching. I personally find the 30ml bottle quite difficult to squeeze (I haven’t tried the 100ml so I can’t comment on that one) I think the plastic is very slightly too thick for my liking. It does help to avoid over dripping in an RDA but I imagine it would be annoying when filling a tank.

“Lemony Snicket” gives very little away upon opening the bottle. The only scent I can pick up is biscuity and slightly sweet. It is enough to convince you to jump in and give it a go.

I found the inhale with this juice to be quite bland, no particular flavour stood out to me. However, my disappointment didn’t last long.

Exhale – This is where the magic happens! There is a real warmth to this juice, reminiscent of a freshly baked sponge. The lemon isn’t overwhelming or too bitter. You can just feel the sharpness of it cutting through the cake flavour without taking anything away from it. Towards the end of the exhale and into the aftertaste, you start to notice the creaminess. It is a lovely addition but you don’t really notice it until the initial hit of lemon and cakiness starts to fade.

It is fairly safe, in a good way, in that it does nothing to offend anyone and I would quite happily vape on it all day. I don’t know if this is just me or if we all go through this, but after trying as many juices as I have, I find myself looking for e-liquid that is just that little bit different. I didn’t really find that in this one but as a cakey, lemony vape, it is perfect.

The vapour production is great and the flavour is strong and well balanced. Definitely one worth trying.

“Glazed” by MF’N Donut

The folks at Vivd Vapes were kind enough to send out the line of M F’N Donut for the purpose of review, if you’re interested in the products reviewed below please be sure to head over to their website:

http://www.vivdvapes.co.uk/

Also, be sure to use the code “vivd8” for 8% off across their site!

It’s time to review another Donut flavoured juice from MF’N Donut. The Blenders describe “Glazed” as

One shop owner described this flavor best: “It’s like taking a dozen fresh baked glazed donuts and shoving them all in your mouth at the same time!” An All Day Vape for many vapers and a true glazed donut experience.”

Not giving much away there so we’ll need to get this on an RDA to get to the bottom of this! There are quite a few donut flavoured products on the market which leaves the bar pretty high for the blenders. Donut can be quite a complex flavour to nail but a few companies out there have that said nail on the head. For this review I’ll be using the following hardware:

  • Wismec Reuleaux RX200 Mod @ 80w
  • Vapergate Alliance V2 RDA w/0.2Ω dual build
  • RDA wicked with Texas Tuff Cotton (review coming soon)
Glazed MfN

Apologies for using a stock image as the bottle design has changed since we received the product.

The M F’n Donut line are available in 0, 3 and 6mg nicotine strength in 30ml bottles and have a 85VG/15PG making this a nice and thick RDA vape! All of which are available from the Vivd Vapes online store:

http://www.vivdvapes.co.uk/m-fn-donut-c-55.html

Lid-Up and you’re greeted with a sweet baked sugary aroma which almost makes you want to take a drink or at least go out and get some….donuts!

Juiced up the Alliance V2 and we’re ready to go, the inhale has a nice and sweet sugary taste to open this Glazed donut flavour vape with almost caramel-like undertones.

The exhale is where this dessert vape really comes together with it’s great combination of the sugary-caramel like sweetness and doughy notes making this one of the best Donut vapes I’ve tried so far! As with all of our juice reviews. This is subjective to my own tastes but as an avid donut fan, “Glazed” is definitely a juice worth picking up and my current all day vape.
